Wound Care Prevention
Once the wound is healed, patients enter a 12-week wound prevention plan to ensure their wound does not recur. If there is any indication of potential wound recurrence, we intervene.

Specialized Physicians and Nurses
Our practitioners are all certified in wound care. Physicians are boarded by the American Board of Wound Management and our nurses are all wound care certified through a certification entity or Esperta Health’s wound certification program.
In-Home Clinicians
Our wound care clinicians practice independently or have additional oversight by advanced clinicians. We provide comprehensive didactic and procedural training with competencies assessed through knowledge-based and hands-on testing.

Responsive Care Plans
When patient and wound data are entered into the wound evaluation system, our proprietary algorithm analyzes over 15,000 Responsive Care Plans to recommend the most appropriate care for the patients wound.
Each Responsive Care Plan has 3 key areas to help the wound-certified specialist treat the wound:


Wound Orders
An order set with wound-specific supplies is automatically developed for the in-home clinician to treat the wound.

Healing Instructions
Comprehensive information is provided to the patient regarding wound care instructions, wound etiology, recommended lifestyle modifications, and nutrition.

Tailored Wound-Specific Dressings
Supplies are ordered straight from our platform and tailored to each patient which improves standardization and increases efficiency.
Wound Prevention Program
Once the wound is healed, the patient enters a 12-week wound prevention program.
This program encompasses virtual technology to ensure the patient has access to and can use resources to prevent wound recurrence.
If there is any indication of potential wound recurrence, Esperta’s clinicians intervene.
